Terms of use
The rules for using Envelopia, in plain English.

Using Envelopia
By using the Envelopia app or website you agree to these terms and our privacy policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Envelopia.
Envelopia is a tool for planning and tracking your own money. It is not a bank, doesn't hold or move money, and doesn't give financial, tax, investment or legal advice. Decisions you make with it are yours.
Your account and your budget
- Your budget belongs to you. You give us permission to store and sync it only so we can run Envelopia for you.
- Keep your Google account secure; anyone who can sign in to it can see your budget.
- When you share a budget, everyone in it can see and change it. Only invite people you trust.
- You're responsible for what you put in Envelopia. Don't use it for anything illegal, and don't try to break, overload or get around the security of the service.
The free plan and Plus
The free plan has no time limit. Plus is a paid plan, offered monthly, yearly or as a one-time lifetime purchase, with a 30-day free trial that needs no card. Purchases are handled by Google Play under its terms, including its rules for cancelling and refunds. Monthly and yearly plans renew until you cancel; you keep Plus until the end of the time you've paid for.
“Lifetime” means for as long as Envelopia is offered. If we ever stop offering Envelopia, we'll give you a way to export your budget first.
We may change prices for future purchases. A change never affects time you've already paid for, and we'll tell you before a renewal price changes.
Keeping your data safe
We work hard to keep Envelopia accurate and your data safe, with automatic backups and checks built in. Still, no software is perfect. Keep your own backups of anything important (Envelopia can save a backup file or export to a spreadsheet at any time).
No warranty
Envelopia is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We don't promise it will always be available, error-free, or right for your needs.
Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost data, or fees from overdrafts or late payments, arising from your use of Envelopia. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid for Envelopia in the 12 months before the claim.
Ending
You can stop using Envelopia and delete your data at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms or harm the service or other people.
Changes
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and tell you in the app about any important change before it takes effect. Using Envelopia after that means you accept the new terms.
